The one I am talking about is that people will argue for post after post, defending some BS statement, but "can't be bothered" to go look at any reference a person might post that refutes it. And they take the time to be quite rude in their refusal, using phrases like "I can't be ar*ed" to try and appear polite. <br /><br />I don't want everyone to do it,,,,,,,but, it makes things very relaxing to just give up and stop typing details that "experts" "dunt bleeve in"<br /><br />RexRex, the accidental Caghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15096511415872112627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-902710577147560497.post-22629055209000691112014-10-13T09:32:41.364-07:002014-10-13T09:32:41.364-07:00The seamen had been adrift for 12 days in February...The seamen had been adrift for 12 days in February in the Atlantic which is not a nice place in the winter. He thought he had spotted a German submarine and began a run. When he got over the target he realized it was a life raft. At that time there was a significant sea state and he was afraid if he landed they would all be lost but he had no choice. After they got the sailors aboard he had difficulty getting airborne. The waves kept knocking the plane down. Finally, after a few "Our Fathers" he took off. After the war Life Magazine commission some war artists to paint pictures of WWII events. For some reason his rescue was picked and the painting "Rescue Off Bermuda" was in Life Magazine and now is at the museum in Pensacola. A copy hangs in my study. I first met Wally when I was working at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories there in Pullman Washington. They hired him even after they told him they weren't sure if his attention to detail was good enough, low and behold they found out differently how good he really was . Him and I became very close, we would hang out almost every day..I used to buy all of my models from him. I got my first nitro Plane from him too. Since he passed, I have yet to buy another model. I couldn't bring myself to build another model after he died because it reminded me of him too much! Here it is March 14, 2012 and I am finally looking to get back into building models again! I am going to get all of my model stuff from storage and pick it up again.. I miss Wally so much and think of him every day... R.I.P.
